Zurich and Abstract Art – A Natural Connection

The Kunsthaus Zürich houses one of Switzerland's most important collections of modern and contemporary art. The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Galerie Eva Presenhuber, and Art Zurich shape a collector landscape that sets international standards. Zurich collectors are accustomed to buying art with substance – works that go beyond decoration and define a room. Sabine Runge's originals meet this standard: handcrafted, materially exceptional. Over 120 originals sold across 16 countries reflect a collector community that values authenticity and buys directly from the artist.

Technique and Materials – What Sets Each Original Apart

Every work begins with a precise layering process: multiple acrylic layers build a three-dimensional surface enriched with texture pastes, fine sand particles, chalks, and marble powder. 24-karat gold leaf and silver leaf are applied by hand – they respond to natural light and shift the painting's presence throughout the day. Each work is finished with a satin-matte UV-protective varnish for lasting color brilliance.
