The dimension of stillness. In Celeste, a cloud-like center of deep sapphire and atmospheric blue forms the core of the composition, surrounded by a light, floating space of intense turquoise – as if looking out from an airplane window onto an endless layer of sky.
Fine touches of metallic blue and scattered accents of metallic magenta flicker within it like distant lights, barely recognizable for what they are from such a height. The Rügen chalk gives the entire surface a matte, mineral depth. This original abstract painting was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
