Buy Original Abstract Paintings Worldwide – Directly from Sabine Runge

Every original painting by Sabine Runge is created near Munich through a multi-layer process of acrylic, structure paste, marble powder and – in selected works – genuine 24-carat Horus gold leaf. More than 120 one-of-a-kind works have already found a new home in 16 countries – directly from the artist, with no gallery markup.

Material and technique

The surface of each work is built up in layers: structure paste and marble powder create a relief before acrylic paint and, in selected works, gold or silver leaf are applied. The painting changes with the light – from soft matte depth to clear reflections. Every piece is sealed with a satin UV-protective varnish, hand-signed on the back and finished with a wax seal.

This depth is what sets an original apart from printed wall art: where reproductions stay flat, an original responds to changing daylight – an effect that only fully reveals itself in the room.

Originals in private collections

Works by Sabine Runge hang in private collections in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and the Rhineland around Düsseldorf and Cologne.

The collector base extends beyond Germany as well – to Basel, Dubai and Calgary in Canada.

Shipping within Germany is free, with a delivery time of approx. 3–5 working days. Internationally, I ship insured and with tracking, with a delivery time of approx. 7–14 working days. Shipping costs €99 to Europe outside the EU (for example Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway and Turkey), €149 to the Americas (USA, Canada, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean) and €199 to the rest of the world outside the EU. Customs duties and import charges are borne by the recipient. Every work is carefully packed. Shipping to other EU countries is currently not possible due to the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). All available works are listed directly in the online shop – no intermediaries, personal contact with the artist and a 14-day right of withdrawal.

What is the difference between buying directly and buying through a gallery?

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTWORKS

What materials are used?

I work with high-quality artist paints, professional gallery canvases and specially composed texture pastes. Selected works are additionally refined with 24-carat gold leaf or silver leaf.

How is shipping handled?

Each work is carefully packed, fully insured and shipped in a custom-made wooden crate. Building the crate takes 2–3 working days. Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number.

Shipping is handled by DHL Express, UPS or comparable carriers.

Shipping costs & delivery times:
– Germany: free, approx. 3–5 working days
– USA, Canada & South America: €149, approx. 14–21 working days
– Rest of the world (outside the EU): €199, approx. 14–21 working days

Due to the new EU packaging regulation, shipping to other EU countries is currently not possible. For deliveries outside the EU, customs or import duties may apply and are payable by the recipient.

Is payment in installments possible?

Yes, individual payment plans as well as Klarna and PayPal installments are available. With a personal payment arrangement, the work can be paid in 2 to 6 monthly installments and is reserved for you during that time. Shipping takes place once the final installment has been received. With Klarna and PayPal installments, the work ships directly after purchase.

Can I commission a custom piece?

Yes. Commissioned works are developed in close dialogue about format, colour palette and atmosphere. Together we create a work that fits into your space. You are welcome to get in touch with any enquiry.

How do I care for my original painting?

Light dusting with a soft, dry cloth is sufficient. All works are sealed with a protective varnish to preserve color and surface quality over time. Direct sunlight and excessive humidity should nevertheless be avoided.
