Cordilliera – an original abstract painting by Sabine Runge
The center of clarity. In Cordilliera, a dense, heavily structured formation runs like a stone band horizontally across the canvas – deep night blue and matte black meet it, as if looking out at a mountain range at dusk.
The raised areas of the texture are finished with metallic gold that shifts with the light: understated in the morning, notably bolder by evening. The champagne chalk gives the surface a heavy, relief-like texture. This original abstract painting was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
