Falling Stars – an original abstract painting by Sabine Runge
The balance of opposites. In Falling Stars, a velvety, deep Prussian blue meets a light, floating sphere above it, from which streaks of gold break loose and drift downward – as if the stars were truly falling, rather than standing still.
The Bologna chalk gives the lower surface a heavy, mineral texture, while the gold is sometimes deeply anchored in the blue, sometimes flashing bright in the upper section. This original abstract painting was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
