The souk at sunset, when dust and light melt into one another. In Marrakech, deep violet, warm magenta, and dense purple layer over each other, while metallic copper cuts diagonally through the composition – like the last sunlight catching on piles of spices and woven fabric, just before night falls.
This original abstract painting is designed as a diptych – two canvases meant to be viewed as one, while each unfolds its own movement. It was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
