The symbiosis of elements. In Intermezzo, a dense, stone-like structure forms the foundation – like a tectonic fault line grown over thousands of years. Two precious metals run through it: shimmering silver leaf and warm 24-karat gold leaf, like two voices taking turns, never quite blending – a quiet interlude between cold and warmth.
The combination of Bologna and Rügen chalk gives the surface a heavy, matte texture that absorbs light gently, while gold and silver each catch every nuance of the lighting differently. This original abstract painting was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
