What divides doesn't stop being one. In Out of the Bubble, large, clear circles of gold run through a dense field of pink, magenta, blue, and yellow – and right where the two canvases meet, the gold simply continues, crossing the divide. Only hung side by side does it become clear that neither half is complete on its own.
This original abstract painting was created with acrylic, structure paste, and acrylic gold, and is part of the "Between Worlds" series, made in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
