Rainbow Heart – an original abstract painting by Sabine Runge

The breaking open of color. In Rainbow Heart, a deep space of dense violet dominates the canvas, until an intense arc of magenta, red, and sunny yellow breaks through along the left edge – many colors existing side by side, none blending into the other, and precisely because of that, forming a whole.

The combination of champagne chalk, marble powder, and Bologna chalk gives the dark surface a heavy, mineral texture that absorbs light quietly – while the colorful arc pulses the surface open. This original abstract painting was created in Sabine Runge's studio near Munich.
