Abstract art Regensburg: a city shaped by water
Regensburg is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe — a UNESCO World Heritage site, a university city and the economic centre of the Upper Palatinate. The Danube shapes not only the city's skyline but also the view from the renovated old-town apartments, the modern apartments on the Danube bank and the houses in Stadtamhof. In interiors shaped by this special combination of historic fabric and modern life, art needs genuine material depth — not a reproduction, but an original that changes with the light.
Sabine Runge's abstract paintings — with tactile surface depth, shifting metallic light and compositional clarity — are made for exactly this standard. Buying abstract art in Regensburg means here: directly from the artist, with personal support, documented authenticity and free shipping straight to Regensburg's old town.
Craftsmanship & collector value: what sets these originals apart
Every original is created near Munich in a multi-layer process: layers of acrylic, texture pastes, marble powder and sand particles build a three-dimensional surface that changes with the incidence of light — from matte depth to clear reflections. Depending on the work, selected areas are refined by hand with 24-carat gold leaf or silver leaf.
This physical depth is what sets the originals apart from printed wall art: in Regensburg's light-filled old-town apartments — with their high ceilings, thick walls and the special Danube light — an original has an effect that only fully reveals itself in the room. Every painting is sealed with a satin UV-protective varnish, hand-signed on the back and finished with a wax seal.
Sabine Runge has sold more than 120 originals in 16 countries — one of them in 2024 to Regensburg's old town. For discerning buyers who want to buy original paintings in Regensburg, these contemporary abstractions are timeless collector's pieces with lasting value.
