Saltwater Memories

Some places never leave you.

For as long as I can remember, the sea has been my longing. Maybe it's the light. Maybe the vastness. Maybe the feeling of not having to hold on to anything, just for a moment.

In my work I keep these memories the way I carry them within me: sunlight glittering on the water, the rough surface of rocks, salt on the skin and the movement of the waves. Not as a depiction, but as a feeling – translated into colour and texture.

Sand, marble dust and chalk on canvas. Each work carries its own movement, its own memory.
