Collection: "Fragments of Change"
The creation of my sculptural art series "Fragments of Change", which was initiated during the core renovation of an old house of my friends on a construction site, is a fascinating example of the creative transformation of materials that are often considered useless or worthless. Amidst the noise and hustle and bustle of a construction site, surrounded by concrete, stones and wood, an inspiring vision emerged. These seemingly unsightly waste products of construction rubble were transformed into true art objects that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also tell a deeper story.
The use of 24-carat gold leaf to refine these materials gives the sculptures a remarkable elegance and radiant shine. The gold not only functions as a decorative element, but also symbolizes the value of the old and the possibility of breathing new life into it. It is a powerful metaphor for the preservation and integration of existing things into new contexts. These artworks are not only creations of creativity, they are a testament to how we can create something unique through innovative approaches and a respectful approach to the past.
The challenge is to preserve what is outdated while making room for what is new. By engaging with the materials that surround us, we can discover their hidden beauty and integrate them into our modern world. This art series invites us to reflect on the value of tradition and how we can incorporate these traditions into our contemporary way of life. In this way, a simple piece of construction waste becomes a meaningful artwork that not only pleases the eye but also inspires reflection.
Overall, this project impressively shows that art is not only created in galleries or museums, but wherever people are willing to look at their surroundings with new eyes. The sculptures made of concrete, stone and wood are more than just objects; they are an expression of a creative process that honors the old while making room for the new. This approach to art and architecture could serve as inspiration for future projects in which sustainability and aesthetics go hand in hand.
