Sabine Runge Painting
Deep Ocean Gold
I painted Deep Ocean Gold inspired by a moment I keep returning to - looking down through clear water as sunlight breaks across the surface, and for a second, you can almost make out something at the bottom before it slips back into shadow.
What stayed with me wasn't the exact scene, but that feeling in between - clarity and mystery, light and dark, all at once. Deep teals, inky blues, and traces of gold layer across the canvas, some sharp, some dissolving into one another.
This painting became my way of holding onto that moment a little longer.
