Blue Escape

Blue Escape. Some places only exist for yourself.

Born from the wish to escape into deep blue — vast like the sea, with no ground beneath your feet. Two golden forms rise from the depths, like hands opening without quite touching. Above them, light breaks through the blue, almost white, as if the surface were only an arm's length away. The texture of this original abstract painting is shaped entirely by hand — no tool between me and the paint, only direct contact with the canvas. The gold is acrylic, not gold leaf, chosen deliberately so it seems to grow out of the blue rather than sit on top of it.

A work from the Echoes phase, 100 x 80 cm: a vertical current, a surfacing that never quite arrives — and it's exactly there that its tension lives.
